It's sad but it's true, us poor girls in Austria don't get to do "Back to MAC"!
Apparently MAC Austria is too greedy to give us a free lipstick every 6 used up products. The official reason is that they "don't have the recycling possibilities".
What a lame excuse!
We have all the recycling possibilities available to the modern world. MAC Austria just doesn't want to give back to its loyal customers. What a shame!
Come on MAC, I am spending hundreds of Euros each year, is that all the customer service you can offer me? If I go to LUSH, they give me 25 Euros worth of products after ten 30 Euro purchases. If I go to Kiehl's they give me a free lip balm when I return 3 empty containers, a travel size product if I return 5 empty products and so on.
Apparently KIEHL'S CAN RECYCLE, because it says on my customer card:
"Recycle and be rewarded"! MAC, just a little hint, if you didn't know it, Kiehl's has a counter right opposite you at Gerngross Shopping Center. Maybe you can go and ask how they do it!
So I am not saying you have to give me ANYthing back, MAC, but since you ALREADY HAVE a rewards program functioning in other countries, it would be LESS OF A SLAP IN THE FACE IF I DIDN'T HAVE TO BRING MY EMPTY CONTAINERS ON AN AIRPLANE TO FRANCE WITH ME!!!

And now for the things that I did "Back to MAC" in Paris:
From left:
Fix+, Mineralize Satinfinish Foundation in NC30, Plush Lash Mascara (2), Cremesheen Glass in "Ever so Rich", Cremesheen Glass in "Partial to Pink
And I picked out:

I cannot believe MAC Austria can't B2M considering their competitors are able to. =/ On the bright side, I love Cremecup & Hot Gossip. I've never tried Up the Amp but it looks gorgeous!

That really sucks that they won't back to mac where you live. Do you think calling head offices would help? It seems silly that you would have to travel with a bunch of empty makeup containers.
Love the lipsticks you bought. I have Up the Amp but not the other two gorgeous colours.
Ich finds auch schade, dass man bei uns nicht B2MACen kann und der angegebene Grund dafür ist wohl mehr als lächerlich... einfach eine billige Ausrede, die anderen Unternehmen schaffens ja auch zu Recyceln!

What the heck? And I have been thinking about B2M in Austria as Vienna is closed to me than Prague when it comes to MAC stores. I had no idea about this stupid policy! Even here in CZ we have B2M programm and it is working just fine I might add (tried and tested). Beautiful lipstick, though!

toll, dass das mal wer laut sagt. ich versteh es auch nicht, in andren ländern funktioniert es doch auch und wir geben so viel bei mac aus - da wäre das wirklich mal ein nettes "dankeschön". na mal sehen, vielleicht schaffen sie es doch noch irgendwann mal in österreich. ich werde auch meine sachen mit in den urlaub nehmen und in london backtomacen :)
