Hi guys,
a
bunch of stuff has found its way into my makeup household and a bunch
has gone. Here are my empties for the months of March and April:
Kiehl's Ultimate Strenght Hand Salve
Absolutely loved this hand cream during the cold winter months, the tube is huge, 150ml/5fl.oz., and it lasted me quite a while. This
was actually my second tube, I had already repurchased it and I will in
the future. It's not the cheapest hand cream out there, this size costs
23 euros, but in my opinion it's worth it. The main ingredients are
avocado oil and sesame oil, it's quite rich but it doesn't leave an oily
residue. Come next winter, it will be on my bedside table again.

Origins VitaZing SPF 15
This "energy boosting moisturizer with Mangosteen", as it calls itself, has
also gotten much love from me. This is the first tinted moisturizer
that I actually really liked, if you can call it a tinted moisturizer.
It's a brown freckled white cream that leaves the prettiest slight tan on my warm toned MAC NC25/30 skin. I noticed though that you
need to apply it to bare skin, if you apply it on top of another cream,
it doesn't quite work its wonder. I bought it after watching MakeupbyTiffanyD raving about it. She has oily skin, I have dry skin and it seems to have worked for both of us. The product has been repackaged since I
got it and I am not sure if they changed the formula, but I hope not!

Origins A Perfect World Age-Defense Skin Guardian with White Tea
This
serum has lasted me two winters, I used it when my skin was really dry
and even the thickest moisturizer wouldn't do, which is not to say that
you couldn't use it in the summer, you totally could, it's just that I
mostly forget about it when my skin is doing all right. I used it
underneath my moisturizer during daytime, during nighttime I switched to
my MAC oil, which is also empty now and shown in the picture above.

Origins A Perfect World Antioxidant Cleanser with White Tea
Much
as I liked the previous two Origins products, this is a product I won't
repurchase. It stang my eyes if I accidentally got it too close or into
my eyes and it wasn't as gentle as I'd like for my skin. Especially in
the winter, when my skin gets extra sensitive, I like extra sensitive
cleansers. I can totally recommend the Kiehl's Gentle Foaming Facial Cleanser, for that matter.

Anna Sui Dreams Perfume
Awwww,
where should I begin... This has been my signature scent for a very
long time, I've always gotten compliments when wearing it and it reminds
me of so many special moments. I am not wearing it that often nowadays
because I have so many perfumes and I tend to switch around, but it will
always have a special place in my heart. For a while I thought it had
been discontinued but it hasn't been. I've got two backup bottles and I
will always repurchase. Since I am very bad at describing scents I will
quote what it says on the Anna Sui webpage: "Exotic, floral richness arises from a mix of sumptuous Chinese Peony,
Freesia and discreet white flowers. Fresh shinning Anise seeds enlighten
the whole perfume. Sensuous Vanilla intense milky sandalwood and rare cedarwood add depthness and create a beautiful, seductive softness."

L'Oréal Voluminous Carbon Black Mascara
Undecided about what to say about this mascara, at first I
really disliked it because I felt that it clumped heavily. Then I
started liking it. That's my general experience with mascaras, even
though I don't like many of them in the beginning, I get used to the
formula after a while and don't mind it anymore. I am never really on
the hunt for the perfect mascara, like I know many of you are, I am more
on the hunt for the perfect foundation. So bottom line: didn't like it
at first, got used to it, used it up with no problem.
Repurchase? Probably not
Eucerin Modelliance Day Cream SPF15
I
would repurchase this moisturizer for the scent only, I LOVE how this
cream smells! I didn't love the packaging so much, it looks kind of
cheap, but never mind. The cream is geared toward normal to dry skin and
I can only say I really liked it!

The Body Shop Vitamin E Nourishing Night Cream
This
has been THE discovery this winter. I received a brand new jar of this
cream from my friend when she moved abroad and didn't want to take it
with her. She had gotten it as a present herself and had never opened
it. I am normally not too fond of Body Shop face products, but I took
it, so she didn't have to throw it away. What can I say, I tried it and
loved it. I have repurchased it since and I have two backups, out of
fear that they will discontinue it. It's very rich and thick, yet
creamy, not greasy. I used it day and night when my skin was at its
driest. LOVED IT.

MAC Care Blends Essential Oils Sweet Orange & Lavender
I
guess you can see a pattern here. I'll do anything to put my very dry
skin out of its misery during the winter months. I used this oil at
night, underneath moisturizer, before going to bed. It left my skin
really soft and smooth. I got this oil when it came out with a limited
edition, but it has since become permanent so I will be able to get it
again.

Benefit Eyecon Eye Cream
Won't
talk about this product too much because it has been discontinued. I
really liked this eye cream, I used it during daytime underneath makeup
and I felt like it left my eye area really bright. This was a repurchase at the time and I will miss it.
Repurchase? WOULD IF I COULD
Bebe Young Care Makeup Wipes
These
are my go-to makeup wipes, I always have them at home and as long as
they make them, I will always buy them! I have tried each and every
makeup wipe that's on the market and none has measured up to these. They
are made for sensitive and dry skin and they are much more saturated
than your usual makeup wipe, which means that there's a little bit of
residue on the skin after using them, but I wash my face with warm water
and a cloth afterwards anyway, so I don't mind. I buy them in bulk when
they are on discount and I always have them in stock.

L'Oréal Gentle Make-up Remover for Eyes & Lips

The Body Shop Deo Dry Deodorant - No Aluminium Salts
This deodorant
has been discontinued, unfortunatly. I really liked it and I have
bought multiple backups when I heard they were discontinuing it. They
have since not replaced it with a no aluminium salt deodorant, which is
too bad. I started reacting to aluminium a couple of years ago, I
started getting really itchy and for the longest time I couldn't figure
out why. Now I know and I am glad more and more brands are getting on
the bandwagon. I am continually trying new ones and my favorite at the
moment is the Louis Widmer one, which can be bought in pharmacies in Austria.
